SHIRDI
Dhyaantirth Mandir
Jain Temple Complex
This Jain temple campus was designed as a ode to the kalash with banana leaves, something that is visible in every pooja. Biomimicry at its core, the architecture of this temple was focused on highlighting and praising the lord.
The entire temple structure was lifted a few stories off the ground, such that the temple would be visible from the neighbouring areas in the town as well. The Garbha Griha of the temple was designed such that it could also function as a dhyaan kendra.
The basement of the raised temple was used to house a permanent exhibition hall. Along with this, the campus consisted of a monolithic marble 28 feet tall statue, a dharmshala, a stage & amphitheatre, and an administration office.
